Help and Guidance

In need of conversation

With a priest you can always confidentially discuss issues both in spiritual and secular life, for example regarding life-management, well-being, unemployment, drugs, family life or loneliness. Conversational support is free of charge, and guides you to other kinds of professional support if necessary.

When illness strikes

If an illness prevents you from participating in communion, you can ask the parish about the possibility of participating in the sacrament of confession and the eucharist at home. Seriously ill people can ask a priest to also serve the anointing of the sick either at church, at home, in a hospital or a nursing facility. Relatives can also contact the parish on behalf of the ill person.

When a relative passes away

The death of a loved one affects one deeply. Each person encounters and processes grief in their own way and at their own pace, but the journey does not have to be made alone. Sharing the grief with another person can help in moving forward.

In the case of financial troubles

The parish gives out, for example, christmas food baskets to local families in need. In addition, breakfast and meal events are organised at the parish house from time to time. You are also always welcome to the church coffee hour. If you are in need of help, tell the parish about your situation. If your need for help is reocurring, the parish can support you in sorting out your overall situation and finding long-term solutions to improving your financial situation.
