Turku Orthodox Parish publishes new website

The new website of Turku Orthodox Parish will be launched on Sunday 2 February 2025 at ort.fi/turku. The renewal emphasises clarity and versatility. Please note that during the launch the website may be temporarily unavailable.

The renewed website of Turku Orthodox Parish contains more information on, for example, life in the parish, decision-making and divine services. The layout and illustrations have been remodelled, and the website is easy to browse on both mobile devices and computers.

Based on earlier user feedback the new website highlights the visibility of the service and event calendars. The richness of languages at our parish has also been considered: in addition to Finnish, information about life in the parish can be found in Swedish, English, Romanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Greek and Arabic.

“We have aimed at clarity and accessibility. We hope that thanks to the renewal, everyone can find the information they need easily and quickly”, says Ioannis Lampropoulos, the vicar of Turku Orthodox Parish.

The old website redirects users to the new address starting 2 February 2025. Nevertheless, we recommend that you update your browser bookmarks to include the new address ort.fi/turku. During the launch on 2 February, the website may be temporarily unavailable due to data transfer to the new platform.

The website will be developed continually, and feedback along with suggestions for improvement can be sent to vicar Ioannis Lampropoulos.

The new website has been created by volunteers. Thank you, Maria, Riikka, Vera, Sanna, Riikka, Henri, father Simo, Wiljam, Jonathan, Silja, Rita, Liisa, Alona, Camelia, Laura, Andrei, Panagiotis, Evangelos and Dimitris, whose contributions have been invaluable.
